About

We are a school, not a studio! That means all staff are highly educated in a true lineage of yoga, dating back to yoga's origins. Ask us about it! You will be able to tell when you arrive. Garnet Heart Wellness is a gorgeous bright sunny center with large windows looking out into our Buddha Butterfly Garden! We hold the container for your transformation through yoga and mindfulness. Our director, Danielle Vardakas, has been practicing and teaching yoga since the 1990's and holds a Masters Degree in Yogic Studies and one in Buddhist Mindfulness from Naropa University. Her team is highly skilled and certified with our school, Garnet Heart Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Alliance, to the highest training level of 500 hour.

You can expect to have the best yoga practice of your life with verbal cues and hands on therapeutic adjustments. Our director is educated as a yoga therapist and teaches her team to guide in this manner. We have a GHY teacher training graduate who also is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Dr Sierra teaches several classes at our center! There are several other highly educated teachers including a Sanskrit specialist. Your mind, body and spirit will be nourished.

Everyone is welcome to start where you are and grow your understanding together through alignment based traditional yoga practices. GHW will be your place for fitness, mental stability, and joy! Let's share this gift of human life together!

We are a direct provider for Step Up for Students Scholarship for homeschool children and teens.

Garnet Heart Wellness, a 501c3 nonprofit, provides a peaceful practice led by passionate, knowledgeable teachers to help individuals achieve liberation in life. We focus on serving underserved populations through free yoga, meditation, dance, and sound energy healing. Through our “Buy One, Give One” model, every paid Yoga Teacher Training tuition funds a full scholarship for another student. With grant funding, we aim to expand our scholarship offerings even further.
